this is a picture of the same band, but a different member.

it was taken at this small venue in downtown columbus. I was suprised to find the lighting turn out really well.

I used rear sync with a shuter speed of probably half a second to a second.

I change the contrast and increased the saturation of the red tones in the picture, and then dodged the blurred elements on the guitar. that's what made it pop for me.

I also applied a layer effect i typically do to my pictures, to diffuse the grain. it is partly similar to a digital soft focus, but it works much better on images that have a sense of movement in them.
