atmosphere

i've been trying to focus on landscapes more often lately. my logic behind this is that you can't have a compelling, atmospheric image without a strong sense of environment. and although i'll still take simple portraits, i'm going to focus on urban landscapes. a side note is that i think i'm going to transfer next year to r.i.c.

concepts

so i guess my main concern at the moment is taking an interesting concept and putting it on film, (or lexmar media card for that matter). the recent chess shots worked out well. i think because i have better controls over my lights, it's allowing me to focus on the concept and subject rather than the aesthetics. so that's where i am. i am getting annoyed by this people just post pictures of themselves and friends hanging out over their weekends. i dont see the point. if you want to do that, get an online journal. dont join an art community.
